What is the Grand Strand? The "Grand Strand" refers to Myrtle Beach, and the surrounding area of South Carolina and North Carolina. From Oak Island in North Carolina, all the way south to Winyah Bay near Georgetown, SC, the Carolina coastline describes a crescent open to the ocean, running northeast to southwest. This area is referred to as the Grand Strand, and is a favorite destination for the beaches, the golfing, and the nightlife all over the country. The Grand Strand is a great place to live, work, and vacation.
